Hispanic women are consistently the least likely to reach the end of their childbearing years without children: 11.1 percent of Hispanic women aged 40-50 were childless in June 2024, against 14.0 percent of Asian, 15.2 percent of Black, and 19.4 percent of White non-Hispanic women, the most childless large group in recent years. Asian childlessness fell from 21.6 percent of women 40-44 in 2000 to 15.9 percent in 2010 and 14.0 percent in 2024, converging with the other groups. The published age band widened from 40-44 to 40-50 after the 2012 supplement redesign, so the two segments are shown separately and should not be read as one continuous line.
